I can't belive that I have to leave so soon! I have been having the time of my life, trying new foods, going to new places, and experiencing a new life.

first quincenera

Tonight I have been invited to my first quincenera! For those who dont know what a quinenera is.... It is the traditional 15th birthday party. In latin culture this is when a girl becomes a woman. The parents save up money to have a HUGE party. Dinner, music, dancing, everything is very formal. Some girls instead of having a party use the money to go on a trip. All my friends here went to Disney. Some parties are biiger, some are smaller, some are extreamly formal, others are relax.

This party (as I understand it, I will write about it tomorrow) is formal and huge. About 300+people. The birthday girls name is Juli Nacelo. I know her from school, and from some parties.

Very excited!
