Where has the time gone?

SO sorry!! I haven't been posting in a while. But writing on here about how I leave soon, only makes me sadder. I am trying to enjoy the moment and not think about going back, but I can't. I have to pack, and clean, and re-pack and buy gifts.

The facts: I go home saturday afternoon. I have no idea what to bring back as gifts. I am packed (kind of), I am excited to go back and graduate, I don't want to leave.



I had my first going away party last night with some of the family, Friday all my friends will be coming over to say goodbye and have a party. Saturday at the airport everyone is going to send me off.

I am trying to use this time to the maximum!

Last saturday

Friday, I decided not to go out, I just kind of hung around the house.

Today is my last full Saturday in Argentina. Weird to think about. This time next week.... I will be sitting on a plane on my way home.

I am not sure if we are going out tonight, I hope so!!
This afternoon I went and got ice cream with my brother and his friend.

sad day

Tomorrow there is no class.
This afternoon a student from my school passed away.

He had a severe brain tumor and was sick for a long time.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

A day at home

Today I didn't go to school so that I could start on the packing process. I also have a college appointment to set up my classes for next fall.

Its weird to be packing, it makes everything real. I have so much to do before I go, I don't think I will ever have time!

closer and closer

Every day gets closer to the day that I have to leave, but also to the day that I go home. I don't know whether to be happy, sad, excited, nervous or any other emotion that might come up. It is going to be so hard to leave here. I have a family, friends, even a boyfriend. It's going to be so hard to just get up and leave. Yet I am also looking forward to returning. I have my graduation, get to see my family (including my grandparents), my friends, and even my own bed. To be honest I don't know what to think, I am all mixed up inside.


While I don't have much time left, I am trying to use it to the maximum. We are painting the "bandera" or flag. Each senior class makes a huge flag to hang in the classroom with everyones names on it. We are trying to get it done before I leave, but I don't think it will happen.



It is very very cold here. When I woke up it was 4 degrees Celsius. Don't forget that the buildings aren't heated here. I have a small heater in my room, but it doesnt heat the whole room, just the five feet in front of the heater. Today I wore the school gym pants, a tank top, a t shirt two sweatshirts, a jackets, a scarf and gloves, and it was still cold.

Summer is looking pretty good right now....

Asado

I ended up not going out saturday night. I stayed home and played with the puppy! He is so little and cute! I need to take more pictures!!

Today alot of the family came over, about 30. We ate the tradition Argentine asado. This is where everyone gets together and eats meat. Beef, sausages, pork, sometimes chicken but today no. There are also various salads. My host family gets together about every sunday or every other sunday. I finally took pictures today!! I will need to take more, seeing as I don't hve much time left!

new puppy!

There is a new Puppy!!!
His name is Brownie. That now makes 8 dogs.
He is a little chocolate chiwawa. I use to not like chiwawas, they are more like rats. but this one is oh so cute!!!
